POLLUTING

the night that you seldomly left 

me in the dark blue of the night gown with

ruffles, dust flying past my pants and 

my eyes, a half opened hazy look of the late night

fluttered a few as i stepped off to leave as they looked 

at you, saying goodbye, and then you say baby i love you,

a face so ridiculously silly yet so serious, i know that you don't mean

a thing, and so i shallowly smiled as the mysterious night 

closed in on you and shut the door behind.
